Will I ever sleep again?

All I want to do is be well rested before these babies get here but I am sleeping less and less.  Maybe 2 hours tonight.  I am so exhausted...
U/S#1 showed 2 heartbeats! U/S#2 showed Baby A's heartbeat was 157 and Baby B 's heartbeat was 183! U/S#4 showed Baby A is a Boy (heartbeat 161) and Baby B is a Girl (heartbeat 159)!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

  • When you're dead.

Even when I do get sleep I never feel rested.

LOL so true. My husband let me sleep until 630 today and I am sitting on my couch in a daze watching these sweet babies play.

At least when you are pregnant it is ok to just fall asleep on the couch during the day!

Maybe you will sleep when they go off to college?

This! Even on nights they don't wake up I end up waking up a few times just because I am so used to being up

  • our babies have been STTN for the last two months, so you would think we would be too, but now DH just tosses and turns all night long...keeping me up. It's infuriating! And then if he does sleep, it never fails that one of us wakes up at 4am. I don't know what it is about 4am, but it's so hard to fall back asleep after that. Sleep when we're dead is right!

Ditto both. They've been STTN a full 12 hours for 2 months now. They rarely wake anymore. I'm still waking at least every 3 hours. I'd say enjoy your sleep now, this is the best it'll get for at least a few months!!

  • I joked with DH that the sleeplessness I was experiencing toward the end must have been prepping me for babies. Right now we're lucky to get 5 hours solid sleep. Once we got 6 hours and I was literally skipping at work that day.

  • I had a horrible time sleeping at the end of the last pregnancy. Between my hips killing me, horrible acid reflux, and anxiety about their arrival I was a wreck. Thanks to the OB giving me Zofran for the nausea returning I was able to sleep a bit more during the day then usual though since I was already on bedrest. It really will help you prepare for what's in store. My girls are 16 months and we still are not getting enough sleep.

  • no...but you'll learn to deal with the sleep deprivation:) our girls have been sleeping through the night (except for when teething) from 10 weeks, and even though they sleep, I still wake up a few times a night...somehow turned into a light sleeper....good luck:)
