If you, hypothetically, had a teenager who was dating
And hypothetically they had a girlfriend, and that hypothetical girlfriend had a Facebook page that wasn't set to private, would you even consider, hypothetically of course, looking at her page and possibly formulating an opinion about her before you ever even, hypothetically, met her?

Heck, I want to check out YOUR son's hypothetical girlfriend! LOL!
We have a very open rapport. We had an incident with him drinking last summer and he knows what the consequences are for something like that. I don't live in a cave, and I know that kids are going to do stuff that is frowned upon, and sometimes even illegal, but he is a very level headed kid and is generally open to having heart to heart conversations about these types of things.

Under 18 in my house requires I have your login info and at my whims will go through any accounts such as facebook and email. This would include the handing over of any phone at any time I ask knowing I will go through any and all texts and/or pics.
Let's just say my kids will not get away with anything as a teen.
I asked my mom once if she knew that I had done certain things, she said, yes she knew at the time- I asked why she didn't stop me- her answer- I had to learn on my own, ummm no, you were suppose to be a parent! Not let me go off in cars with boys to places you knew I wasn't suppose to be!
Absolutely! And we do just that occasionally and have called him out on a few things that required further explanation. Especially after the drinking incident last year.
