We had a follow-up appointment yesterday for another ultrasound and fetal echo. After the echo we sat down with the pediatric cardiologist who dropped another ton of bricks on us. Our daughter has two other problems with her heart which puts her at very high risk. He said this is one of the most serious cases of HLHS that he's seen. As of right now she may not even qualify to have the first surgery, and if she is able to have it, her chances of survival are around 20% as opposed to 80-90%.
We went in knowing things weren't going to be any better, but we definitely weren't expecting to get the news that we got. I think it's still sinking in that we may never get to bring our baby home. We have amazing support though and know we will get through whatever happens.

Words fail to express how sorry I am that you're experiencing this. Thank you so much for having the courage to share with us and I'm SO thankful that you have good support.
No one knows what will happen but try to keep belief and strength in your heart and your spirit. Miracles DO happen and even when they don't, I believe God sends us the strength and support we need to get through.
Remember you are her mother forever, no matter how long she is with you in this life. Keeping you in my T&P's. God bless.
Oh, I am so so sorry. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Hoping for the best

So sorry to hear that. Prayers going up now. Who knows, maybe it won't be as bad as they are predicting. Sometimes they get it wrong, and sometimes, miracles do happen.
I don't know if this helps or not, but I had a friend who was recommended to get a late term abortion due to the problems they "thought" her daughter would have. She ended up being perfectly healthy and my friend was glad she didn't listen to them.
