Need laundry advice please!

CD newb here.  I am having a problem with getting poop stains out of my CDs.  Here are the facts:

LO is 1 week old, so we've just started this.

We are using KL0s.

I have *ugh* an Electrolux.  It has all these preset wash combos, but won't let me customize.

Basically everything I know about CD I learned from this board and the Eco Friendly Family blog.

I am cold rinsing my dipes, and then Hot Wash/Cold rinsing.

I am using a baby detergent that a friend gave me.  Don't flame me!  LO came 4 weeks early, and I wasn't ready.  I'll switch to something better as soon as I can.  Is using an off-brand detergent the only thing between me and clean dipes?  

I got my dipes used online, and they were immaculate.  I'd like to keep them that way.  Can't sun them just now because sun is in short supply in the PNW in spring. :)

Please enlighten me as to what I can try. It's all a bit overwhelming still....  TIA!

    I would say you may want to change the detergent though I don't know it would cause the staining. However, a lot of times CD's stain from nb poo, hanging in the sun (or placing in a sunny window sill) should get rid of most all stains.

    just put the bad ones in the window sill, its the only thing that will bleach out BM poop.

    newborn poop stains, but it does sun out, try not to worry as long as they are getting clean!

    The baby detergent you are using might cause the diapers to get build up and cause leaks eventually just fyi.  Not flaming, I know I was nowhere near ready 4 weeks before DS was due so I totally get it!
