Interesting appt today

No, I don't plan to post an update after every appt, but this one was full of interesting stuff. Heh.

Since the baby is measuring over a week ahead, my EDD has been changed to 9/30. I'm sticking around though b/c I like it here. Hope that is okay. :P It's crazy b/c just like that I skipped a week. It's like the pregnancy equivalent of skipping a grade. (Gotta change the ticker!)

I also found out that my uterus is measuring big, but not really b/c of the baby like I assumed, but because of the collection of fibroids I have going on in there. Lovely. Shouldn't be an issue for the pregnancy, but I guess that helps to explain some of the belly.

She thought my weight gain looked great and said otherwise, everything is right on track.

H and I were discussing the measuring ahead thing and we said that is how "those parents" get started.

"Oh, well my fetus was measuring a whole *week* ahead. It's obviously gifted."

Aye!! Shared with my dr. today and we had a good laugh about it.

That's exciting! It must be so nice to see your ticker move ahead a whole week! Sorry to hear about the fibroids though. I had a sizable one noticed at my NT scan too. I am measuring 8 days ahead of my current EDD so I hoping that my Dr. will change my due date too! My new EDD would be October 1 :-)

Congratulations on getting to skip a week.  Bonus!

I have fibroids as well.  I've known that I had them for a couple years now.  They are really common, I've had doctors tell me as many as 50% of women of child-bearing age have them...just many don't know.  Mine arent expected to impact the pregnancy either.

i measured a week ahead today too!!  but they already adjusted my EDD once and said they won't change it again, it will just be monitored at 20 weeks and again at the towards the end of 3rd tri.  the same thing happened to me with DD and she ended up being 2 weeks early.

try not to worry about the fibroids, just concentrate on the fact that baby looks good!!

When my mom was pregnant with me, she did not get a positive pregnancy test until she was what she thought was 2 months pregnant. Then, when she finally had an u/s, they told her she had actually missed another month! All of a sudden, she was going to have a baby in 4 months instead of 5!
