Cloth Diapering

Training Pants

I need them for my 3 year old. I want them to look and feel like "big girl underwear" She's been having accidents at preschool and now they want her to wear a pull-up but she doesn't have accidents at home or when she is out with me so I think if she has to wear a pull-up at preschool she'll go in her pants because she knows she can.  So what cloth training pants have you tried or heard are good?

Re: Training Pants

  • I wouldn't invest a ton in training pants until you know that she won't use them like a diaper, too. My daughter treated them just like pull-ups, and peed in them because she knew she could.

Personally, I would focus on why she's having accidents at preschool but not at home... are they doing something differently that is making her less likely to go potty? DD has the occasional accident at preschool because she is just so BUSY that she forgets to go potty until it's too late, so we've done a lot of talking to her about not waiting till the last minute to go.

If you do decide to go the training pants route, I've heard that the Imse Vimse and Blueberry trainers are good.
