hi, all. it's still early to start shopping, but i'm at least starting to THINK about it...
my husband and i are both fairly tall (i'm 5'10", he's 6'4"), and i've read a lot of comments about various strollers that don't have adjustable handles and how taller people have a lot of problems with them. SO...what strollers would you recommend for taller parents? (if it makes a difference, my mom will presumably be buying the stroller for us--and she got my sister the bugaboo, so i'd say pretty much everything is on the table!)
thanks in advance for any recommendations!
Re: best strollers for tall people?
So I hardly ever post but I thought this would be a good place for me to jump in as we wrestled with the same thing.
I'm 5'6 and DH is 6'5. We are most likely going with a Mountain Buggy (most likely the Terrain). We liked not only the adjustable handle, but also the fact that my DH didn't feel like he was kicking at the stroller when he took a normal stride.
I will disagree with this. We have the City Mini. I'm 5'10" and DH is 6', we have no trouble with the City Mini.
OP, I think you should go over to BBB or BRU and just push some around. But, you can take your ideas from here and know what to push
Another Vote for Uppa Baby Vista. DH is 6'3 and has no problem pushing it. Also I think functionality wise it is an awesome stroller.

We also got the Uppa Baby Vista - DH is 6'5 and I'm 5'6. It works for both of us - H loves it. We actually just got the Uppa Baby G-lite as well for a lighter umbrella stroller (the Vista is pretty bulky for quick trips and travel) - the G-lite has the telescopic handles as well. We really like them both.
wow--lots of love for the uppa baby vista!
thanks for the advice, ladies! i definitely plan to go to a store and try out a bunch (with DH, whether he likes it or not!). i just wanted to get some hints as to where to start looking, b/c i know *I* find BRU and BBB overwhelming--i don't even want to THINK about DH's reaction if i tried to get him to test drive 600 strollers!
Weird, I'm 5'5" and DH is 5'10" and we both noticed that we have to definitely take shorter strides than with our Vista.

IMO, you want something with a telescoping handle. I never understood the flip up handle thing, because the last thing somebody tall needs is to be closer to the stroller so they can kick it!
We got a First Years Wave, but if we could have afforded it we'd have absolutely gone for the UppaBaby Vista.
I'm 5'7" and DH is 6'4"
We have a Teutonia stroller and we LOVE it. I'm 6'0 and DH is 6'4". The handle has about 20 different possible positions. I had never even heard of it until I was looking at the UppaBaby and the saleswoman recommended it over the UppaBaby. It has a 3 year manufacturer's warranty and has a better wheel axis than the UB. It's kind of pricey, but totally worth it and we get TONS of compliments on it.
My husband is 6'5" and we have purchased the Uppababy Vista for our main stroller. He loves it, and he likes it much more than the Bugaboo. Our second choice would have been the Mutsy. The Bugaboo has a bar between the rear wheels that he'd kick while walking, while the UBV and Mutsy do not. All three have adjustable handles.
I agree with the PP- the BJ City Mini does not work for him- he'd have to hunch over. We were going to purchase it as a second stroller until he tried it out. We're still searching for a smaller travel stroller that's comfortable for both of us to push- but we have plenty of time.
