Those with talkers - silly ?

Has anyone ever made a coorelation between the amount of babbling as babies and whether DC ended up being a big talker vs. not saying much?  I was fairly quiet as a child, and as an adult, I am very shy.  I am just curious whether lots of babbling will mean lots of talking?  Thanks for humoring me :)

  • I don't know if there is a correlation but I know DD1 was a non stop babbler and now she is a non stop talker.  DD2 is a lot more quiet than DD1 was so it will be interesting to see what she is like.

I don't think so, but it's an interesting theory. Max didn't babble much as a little baby, but he can't stop talking now. He's shy around people he doesn't know very well, but once he's comfortable, he's a total ham!

This is ds too. I have also heard that girld develop language faster than boys so that could be a part of it.
