How long (how old was your child) when you stopped using the originals line? 

We (I) loved our pedipeds originals (the leather sole) when Emily was little.  During the winter with all the rain we have been in Stride Rites with full rubber soles.   I'm wondering if it is reasonable to go back to the pedipeds in the summer or will I continue to want a rubber sole.   She has been walking for 6+ months.

There is an original that I like on sale (and a lot cheaper than their grip-n-go or flex lines) but I don't want to get it if we won't really use it. She is still clearly in the size range for originals and just barely on the chart for the other styles.

If she is full-time walking, especially outside I would do rubber sole. I feel you would get more life out of it.

My kiddo does a lot better in the flex/rubber soles. We stopped using the originals at age 2, but I should have switched before that just because she was slipping around a bit on grocery store floors (Costco was the worst), and she had gotten more adventurous.
