I swear, I don't feel 41. I don't even feel like I'm in my 40's at all. DH says that he thinks of himself as mid-thirties and that he never thinks of me as any older than him (he's 29).

I spent a decade as a professional ski bum. I swear that that decade of play just didn't count towards aging at all. Except for my knees. My reconstructed knee feels ok, but my other knee is that of a senior citizen. 

wow, i am so jealous of the ski part, not the knees.

I'm 38. 39 in September.  I definitely feel it's unfair that when I finally meet the man I want to marry and become ready to have a baby, my body says, "weeeellllll, let's hope soooo. Not suuuuurrrre.  Might work, might not..."  Good fertility is wasted on the young.

so encouraging not to be alone here.... gee, i came to this country 13 years ago, looking for my husband.... looked for him in California, in Denver, in Arizona, in DC, in Virgnia... it turned out it was all this time hiding in the woods of Maine.. no wonder it took me so many years.... and would never have found him without the internet...

 he promised me 7 babies.... not sure how he'll keep his promise...

 i'll be 37 in June

 

(my sister had her sixth child last year when she was 42, perfectly healthy - if that's some kind of consolation to someone... (she had one m/c with pregnancy #2))

Well I am not quite in my 30's yet but my fiancee' is 15 years older than me and he will be 36 next weekend! I have got to find something for his birthday, I probably should have already done that, I am a bad fiancee' lol

I was thinking the same thing! I'm still somewhat a youngin' at 25 but I hope I look as good as some of you ladies when I'm that age!

butting in late!! I'm 35 (will be 36 in June) DH will be 36 a week from Monday. I still feel 25, btw...but I'm in better shape physically, emotionally and financially than I was in my 20s. I wasn't ready to be a mom until recently, sad but true. I know that when it happens for us I can finally give 100% to our LO. I often wonder (and we talk about) did we wait too long to start our family and I always go back to the realization that I knew I wasn't ready yet. So we're not sorry we waited this long.
