(Just as a preface, I didn't want to keep a secret from any of you ladies, but I know this board is a safe haven for all of us and I certainly didn't want to be insensitive and make this an uncomfortable place for you to be yesterday, Amanda, when you needed our support
Well, I got my BFP on Wednesday night! I have no freakin' clue how this happened. I've mentioned it a couple of times, but DH and I were on a break cycle and only managed to have sex on CD 9 and CD 10. I think the leftover meds in my system from last month caused me to O extremely early this month (I usually O on CD 14 or 15 but think it was more like CD 11 or 12-ish this month). I obviously can't confirm this because I didn't temp or do OPKs, but I was suspicious based on my CM. I'm curious how they'll date me at the u/s.
I still have trouble believing it. I drove like a maniac to have my beta done yesterday morning and it came back at 460!!!! Beta #2 is on Monday. I am hoping that everything goes smoothly. I only tested because I was on my way to acupuncture and wanted to make sure that I wasn't KU so that she could do her usual fertility points. I hid the pee stick in the medicine cabinet so DH wouldn't see it and accuse me of being neurotic since we thought this cycle was a bust. When I looked at it, there were two dark lines. A FRER and a digi confirmed the results!
I am so grateful for every one of you on this board. The amount of support and caring you all show for each other is amazing. It amazes me how a bunch of internet strangers can care so much about each other, like the best of friends. I hope that I can stick around and cheer you all on, because I genuinely want to see you all with a BFP and offer whatever support I can along the way. Thank you all, times a million
Much Love,
Tosh
Re: OK, I'll give.....
FINALLY! CONGRATS LOVEY!
I didn't want to reply on TTTC b/c I never post there, but I was waiting ALL DAY for you to come over and share.
As sweet as it is of you to think of me, I feel absolutely terrible that you didn't want to share your amazing news b/c I had a shitty day. This is your home and we all want you to go on and have a beautiful little bundle in 9 months. You deserve this so much sweetie and just because I had a craptastic day, or if anyone else did for that matter, you should not be deprived of your awesome announcement.
I am beyond thrilled for you and look forward to you sharing this part of your journey with us!
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."
Please don't think that I was being deprived of making my announcement - I do not want you to feel terrible about that at all. There was always an opportunity for me to share in the next day or two, and I made the decision to wait because I wanted to (not because I felt like I was forced to). You have been so supportive to me and everyone else on this board through our ups and downs, that the last thing I wanted to do was to hurt you when you were already feeling down. I knew that you would be happy for me, I just wanted to give you your space yesterday. I wanted to be a good e-friend
Thank you so much for the well wishes!
