Crib bedding quality question.

I found crib bedding I love.  Had paint colors pickd for the nursery and everything.  But then my MIL pointed out the bad review about the quality...I googled some more reviews and there were a few others saying the same t hing mixed in with some that were good...

What crib bedding are you getting?  Did you read any reviews first?   What are good quality bedding brands, that wash nice?

See if you can find it in a store and feel it for yourself. Or, search for it on different websites and see if the reviews are different. The site you posted had only one review, so that's just one person. There's always someone unhappy.

 

We're getting Jackson from PBK. I saw it in the store and was satisfied with the quality.

I never read the reviews of my bedding...I had my theme picked out, and no review would of changed my mind (for bedding anyway.) The only thing I really read reviews on were the big ticket items, carseat, stroller etc. Do what YOU think is best!

I did get a matchy matchy 13-piece crib bedding set, and the fabric isn't exactly 800TC or anything like that (far from it, actually).

But, I plan on getting my own sheets (which, really, is the only piece of crib bedding that comes in contact with the baby...the rest of it is just for show).

So, I would say get the cheap crib bedding set, but splurge on some higher count sheets.

Normally, these crib sets only come with one sheet anyways...so you need to have a few sheets on hand for when a diaper blows. I'm sticking with a solid color for the sheets that will match the nursery decor.

My friend told me that for crib/kids bedding to definitely go with PBK. They don't shrink so much that you can't fit them on the mattress and the quality is great. We already have a set picked out! GL

You could always just get some extra sheets if those aren't good enough quality. My absolute favorite crib sheets are the chamois sheets from PBK. I've washed ours a million times and they still look brand new.

I would want the sheets and quilt to be good quality. You will use the quilt when you have a toddler and it will get washed often. Ours was PBK and we plan to use it again as I bought a neutral set. I do wish I had only bought the quilt, the rest of it we won't use as the crib was recalled and the new one doesn't need a skirt.
