I use to send my kids to my cousins and she used to provide breakfast and lunch. I have since moved my kids and now have to send food for them. I send breakfast because they won't eat when they get up first thing in the morning. I feel like the menu is getting stale already after only 2 weeks, so I am looking for ideas.
On a typical day, I send them either pancakes or waffles for breakfast. Lunch today was a bologna and cheese sandwich, yogurt and an orange. I need more ideas! I'm not the best at meal planning and know that I need to get better, I don't want them to get bored
Re: Daycare Moms - what do you send for lunch/breakfast?
We only need to send lunch and they will heat food so I often send dinner leftovers such as pasta with meat sauce, stir fry chicken & veggies with rice. I try to send a carb, protein, veggie and a fruit dessert (either fresh, canned/jarred or an applesauce. DS1 loves PBJ so he gets that once or twice a week. Sometimes I send tofu sticks or edamame as a protein. DS2 loves hummus, so he'll get pita triangles, veggie sticks (cucumber, carrot, red pepper) and tons of hummus to dip everything.
for breakfast you could do hard boiled eggs i suppose

Daycare provides 2 fruit snacks a day, so i usually don't pack fruit with meals. They can also heat things up for lunch only.
breakfast ideas: gogurts, regular yoplait yogurt (my kids love the blueberry pie flavor), whole wheat waffles or pancakes with jelly on them, dry cereals, homemade granola bars, toast with jelly, mini bagels with cream cheese.
Lunch - chicken nuggets, fake nuggets (veggie or broccoli and cheese), cut up smart dogs (those fake hot dogs), mini pizza bagels, jelly sandwiches (no pb allowed), ravilolis with sauce, or leftovers from dinner the night before. I also pack cheese sticks, applesauce, fruit cups (occasionally) or something else to go with the main course.
