Fed up with Neosure, what are you LO's on?

NICU sent us home using Neosure (1 tsp = 130cc breastmilk) and DD has been on it since leaving the NICU on Jan 6, but I have had it with seing black flecks floating around in the formula bottles I make.  The bottles she has of only breastmilk she does great with, but this is my 3rd can I have found black flecks in and I am sick of wasting $15 on a can to pitch it a day later.  Any suggestions?! What are yours on? She isn't gaining all that great on Neosure either, only 9lbs at almost 4 months.

My DS is on Similac sensitive and has been gaining great with it. You should talk to your Pedi about switching her to something else if you are concerned.

Allie is on Enfamil Enfacare.  It's another 22/cal formula and I've never found anything other than formula and the scoop in the can.  She's doing great on it, a little reflux, but that might be because she's a preemie and not because of the formula.  She's gaining great, too, about 8oz a week.

I would also call Similac and tell them that. I have been through probably 50 cans of Neosure and have never ever had that experience.

Nolan is on Enfamil Enfacare - it is 22cal but we make it according to the NICU directions to 24cal. He has been gaining AWESOME on it - at least a pound a week!!

My LO is on Neosure and I've noticed black specks on the inside of the bottles I use (the little ones from the hospital still), but I don't think it's got anything to do with the formula itself.  I've been washing the bottles in the dishwasher and I assumed it had something to do with that or the bottles themselves. I just chuck the bottles, but not the formula.
