three lines?

I read in a few other posts about "three lines" in the ultrasound to tell gender.

Can someone please explain that to me?

Two under 1 was fun! With Three under 3, I was pleased! But Four under 5 I may not survive... so please say a prayer for me.

    Three lines on the  ultrasound means a girl!  :)  Its the va-jay-jay. Simple.

    If you look closely it looks like 3 lines. I would say the vulva or whatever makes up the lines.

    I thought I saw 2 lines when I was sneakily trying to detect the gender at my Team Green ultrasound! I wonder if I just missed one of the lines or if I was seeing something completely different!

    My very technical and not friendly ultrasound tech said the 3 lines are the labia.  She said in a monotone voice, "there is the labia so it's a girl".   My husband and I still laugh about it... Just a weird and unexpected way to hear it's a girl....
