My best friend is being induced on Friday morning, but our OB is admitting her tonight, so that she can be given Cervadil to thin her cervix. I made some yummy peanut butter chocolate chip cookies last night and I was going to take her a container of them, but then I wondered if they'd let her eat tonight. My labor was induced because my water had broken at home (I was GBS+ so they didn't want to wait for my labor to start on it's own) and they didn't allow me to have anything to eat from the moment I was admitted until the morning after my c-section.
Did they let you eat the first night that you were in the hospital?
Re: If you had Cervadil before an induction...
My situation was a little bit different because I had high BP and low amniotic fluid, but after I talked my Dr. into letting me try for an induction instead of just doing a c/s they let me eat until midnight (cervadil was at 5pm). I hadn't eaten all day. Only clear liquids after that until the day after my c/s (yeah, that induction thing didn't work).
Their plan was to keep my cervadil in for two hours but at 1.5 they took it out b/c LO was not responding well to it.
I was not allowed to eat except ice chips. I had to lie flat on my back and not get up
They did not let me eat anything once the Cervadil was put in. But they did give me ice chips.
Same here. Oh, wait, I was allowed to have popsicles. To be honest, I didn't want anything to eat once they started doing everything.
