I am not sure what uo means- but my parents are 80 and my dad is a great driver.  In fact just the other week we went out for dinner and i had a glass of wine so I had my dad drive us home,

My pet peeve is all the safety rules about babies stuff.  I get the point about car seats but some of the bans are a little ridiculous...  we all survived.  I am less concerned about LO safety in a walker than I am about DH leaving power tools around the house.  No ban on DH's or power tools!

You do realize that many babies didn't survive, hence the laws.  Also, there are probably twice as many cars on the roads as there were when we were little, and speed limits have increased substantially.  And walkers aren't banned, at least not in the US.

You won't be saying that when DC hurts themselves on a power tool.

I've had a rough few days so my brain has turned to much, but I'm failing to see how these are connected.

It's not your turned brain. They aren't....

Right?  Power tools are marketed for babies, walkers are-hence the difference.

And by the by, my DH is a carpenter turned floorlayer, so we have plenty of power tools.  We just won't be leaving them around the house for DD to get into. That's what a garage is for.

  • Me - "I guess everyone could since people would most likely make it a big deal that only older people are. As long as the older people are taking it I wouldn't mind it being for everyone. My main point for the annual test is to show if they really are capable of being on the road without killing someone or themselves..."

T watley and MrsBallet: I just wanted to repost this in case you didn't see me say it. And what I mean by this is I agree everyone should take the test to prove they're capable of driving safely.
