Name Spelling Help!! Collin vs. Colin

HI ladies!

So we found out we're having a boy (yay!!) and we have decided on Collin/Colin Reid. We are just so torn now on how to spell it! Some say they like Collin bc Colin reminds me of colon. I definitely don't want his name to remind people of this body part! lol And we like Colin bc it's the original way to spell it. We like both...please help us decide!

I debated the same thing, thank god we are having a girl bc boy's names are just too hard lol.  I THINK I prefer the Colin spelling.

I voted for Colin, but I like both. I love this name!

FWIW, I know a woman who has a son named Colin. She said she picked the one L because Collin is like the last name Collins. She thought Colin looks more like a first name.

I like Collin, Colin makes me think of Colin Powell and I think that pronounciation

FWIW, I know a woman who has a son named Colin. She said she picked the one L because Collin is like the last name Collins. She thought Colin looks more like a first name. 

My son's name is Colin and that is one of the reasons I picked the 1 L spelling. Also, his middle name and our last name all have 1 L in them, so it looked balanced when written out.

Just a head's up though - people misspell it with 2 L's all.the.time though.

If it wasn't for Colin Powell I would probably like the one L spelling.  When I see Colin though I just think colon.

I don't think of colon, even though I am a health care worker (PCT/nursing student).
