After the Egg McMuffin post below, I had to go to Dunkin Donuts for a sandwich Here was the convo:
Me: I'd like a #5 on an everything bagel with NO CHEESE (yeah, I raised my voice when I said it)
Drive thru guy: You want bacon egg and cheese on everything?
Me: No, NO CHEESE, just bacon and egg.
Drive thru guy: OK anything else?
Me: (I finished ordering MH's sandwich and drinks)
Drive thru guy: So that's bacon, egg and cheese on everything (and repeats rest of order)
Me: No, NO CHEESE on the bagel
Drive thru guy: OK that will be (gives total) Please pull around.
I get home with my sandwich. Cheese. Son of a biitch!! What is wrong with people?
Re: Why is it so difficult to not put cheese on a sandwich????
ugh, I HATE that! And cheese is one of the hardest things to take off after they get it all melted all over everything.
My husband often ends up with double cheese because I switch my top cheesy bun for his bottom dry bun!
those young cooks at the back are on auto-pilot and they just tend to make things the normal way even when it says something different...my mom always gets her order wrong because she makes changes to her order.
not saying that it's acceptable just that they are used to make the exact same thing hundreds of times in a row so they get in a "zone" and forget very quickly...I speak from experience during my teen years at KFC...I always felt terrible when i made a mistake though because I was the person who tried to make the food look picture perfect!
I seriously have a love/hate relationship with Panera bread over this issue. I love their Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich with avocado added. Avocado can be added to any sandwich, for like $1 extra. AT LEAST half the time they charge me for the avocado but don't put it on. Arg! And I always get it to-go so it's too late then.
