Does amoxicillin make pee smell?

We've got a musty/medicine type smell going on in the dipe. Assuming it's from the amox?

yes most antibiotics will cause urine to have a mediciny smell, it will go away when she is finished with the meds.

Be sure to watch for diaper rash. Last year, LO was on amox and got the worst diaper rash of his life. Two prescriptions didn't get rid of it. Finally, California Diaper Cream did the trick. LO is a baby z pack now and I am treating his tush to stay ahead of a potential rash.

so true.....everytime DS is on antibiotics I break out the nystatin.

Thank you! I am doing Triple Paste with each change and giving her a probiotic supplement once a day, hopefully that will do the trick!

Yes it does - and it is a yucky smell!  But that is why amoxicillin used to be used to treat UTIs - it is excreted through urine.  It isn't used much anymore because most of the UTI bugs are now resistant to it.  Just a totally useless fun fact for you
