crib mattresses???

Has anyone else looked into non-toxic chemical free crib mattresses? My husband and i recently found out that crib mattresses that are treated with chemicals have been band in all of Europe due to the "possible" link to SIDS. So if anyone has any suggestions on non-toxic chemical free crib mattresses we would love to hear them.

Yes I bought an organic all natural mattress.. dH and I both felt strongly about it. We found a great one at Costco online (were not members.. We ordered it online and just had to pay $6 extra for not being members) it got awesome reviews and has the same standards as the same ones that are $400.. This one retails about $125.. Also remember to get an organic mattress cover : ) let me find the link... Sorry can't make it clicky I'm on my iPad.

Ditto this, we even bought the same Costco mattress.  It's a great deal and thus far we've been very happy with the mattress.

I'm leaning towards that Costco organic mattress too, glad to hear you guys liked it! Seems like a good thing to spend money on!

We are getting a Naturepedic Organic mattress.

ETA: Make sure whatever mattress you get is 100% organic/non toxic.  A lot of mattresses list that they are organic because some materials, like the cotton are organic, but that doesn't mean that they are completely organic.  Naturepedic is certified organic by an independent company.  You also want to make sure that the material that they use to cover the mattress is non toxic.

We have a Naturepedic mattress for our son and so far we all love it.  They are a bit pricier, but it was worth it to us.  I'm not a crunchy Mom by any means, but I try to keep things as chemically clean for our family as I can because I really do believe it makes a difference.
