We do not tip just for the pure fact I make minimum wage too so why would I pay someone more than I make. Furthermore drivers can get partial tax write offs for car and gas.

I'm a firm believer in "if you can't afford the tip, don't go out to eat". I think this applies in this situation. From now on maybe you should just go pick up your pizza.

Or how about not. I take care of people for a living, I'm a PCA and get paid minimum wage, my job is a little bit more important than delivering pizza. And I didn't say I could afford it BTW.

Your job heirarchy pissing contest is fascinating. Tell us more, oh Couth-less Wonder!

If pizza delivery is so unimportant, how about you NOT ORDER PIZZA? Foreign concept, I know.

If it's important enough for you to have it delivered to you, then they deserve to be paid for it.

    Thank you MSC.

OP, WTF is up with this line? Umm, I'm sure that your job is important to you because it is your livelihood, just as the pizza delivery person is depending on their job (which most consider tips are part of their wages) to feed themselves or their family.

BTW, what is a PCA being that it is so important?

     Ditto.

A PCA is a patient care assistant. Kind of like a Nurse's assistant. Apparently, she feels that since her job involves taking vitals, drawing blood (if she's qualified), and wiping a$$es makes her better than a pizza delivery guy and therefor, doesn't deserve her money. What a peach she is.

  • Ok, I know I'm the odd person out here however this is my feeling. I don't not tip out of jealous or anything, why would I pay someone over? In my state it is the law if you make less than minimum wage and you get tips if your income does not equal minimum wage according to hours worked your employer is required by law to pay the difference. Furthermore, people choose they're jobs because they NEED to work, they fully know the responsiblity and everything that comes with it when accepting employment and if that's what they choose to do then they make that concious decision. I don't have residents families coming up to me and giving me tips because part of my job description is to serve food to they're families and I obviously do not expect it, that would be absurd.
