IVF converted to IUI question

Hello,

 I am on my first cycle of IVF and today is my 6th night of injections.  My RE is taking it "day by day" deciding if he is converting my IVF to IUI.  I went in today and I have 3 follicles which are dominant (and 9 others that are substantially smaller) with my estrogen in the 700s.  He is not sure if the other follicles will catch up and wants to wait to make a decision about what he is going to do.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this?  Do you know if the IUI can still be successful if they were giving you doses of meds for an IVF cycle (follistim 225, menopur 75, ganirelex)?

I got the "you may be canceled" speech for IVF #1 around the same time, and everything was fine. I tend to start slow and have lots more growth later in the game. Also, there are protocol changes that can help keep your cohort together if you end up with lead follicles that take over this time. Good luck.

I had an IVF converted to IUI.  I didn't work for me, but I figured it was better than being cancelled completely which has no chance of a BFP.  Best of luck to you!
