Hey Ladies-
My husband and I will be starting BCP for IVF#2 with my next period after experiencing an early loss at six weeks.
Can I ask if there are any other folks out there who started infertility treatment again after a m/c? How did you handle your next round of treatment, the two ww, etc? Did you find you were more nervous or anxious?
It has been a rough couple of weeks, and I am trying to figure out what to expect for my next round of treatment.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Re: Intro/IF Treatment after Loss
First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. I do not have any answers to your questions as I have never been pregnant but good luck with IVF #2.
Welcome to the board - I hope your stay is a short one.

Hi there ! First I must say I am so sorry for your loss. This process is not easy and the amount of emotions you go through as a couple and personally cannot be put into words.
Starting over can be hard and you go through the emotions of worrying that you will have to endure the same loss and pain again. My husband and I are currently in the middle of our 5th IUI cycle. We got pregnant the first time last year, ended with a miscarriage and our 3rd IUI was successful but sadly ended at 10 weeks with a D&C. We waiting two months before trying again, our 4th round, like the 2nd was unsuccessful and it was an emotional roller coaster. The chance of another loss is heartbreaking, but I knew I had to take the chance so we could get our wish for our family to grow. Together we decided that if the 5th cycle does not work, we are going to take a break for two months. This process does consume you 24/7 and it will make you an even stronger person then when you started, but the end result of having a baby will be well worth every minute of it. Good Luck to you and please keep us posted !
BTW, I giggled at your name because I am originally from Chicago as well and I use Chicagogirl075 as one my "names"... funny.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have had numerous early losses. Cycling after a loss, for me has been filled with mixed emotions. Generally, when I start cycling again (stims, etc) I am filled with hope. I feel like I'm working toward my goal again. During the 2ww, however, I am filled with anxiety. Did it work? If it did work, will I just m/c again? I wish I had some great coping skills to share with you, but I really don't. It is such an emotional roller coaster.
Good luck to you!
I am so sorry for your loss!! No one deserves to go through that kind of pain. Our m/c hit me really hard. It took so long to get that first BFP and we got to see our little one and hear her heartbeat 3 times before the u/s when we found out her heart was no longer beating. I was sooo in love with that baby and honestly went into a state of depression after the d&c. I started feeling better when we decided to try again, but when that cycle resulted in a BFN I really lost it. I went into a pretty deep depression that I just pulled myself out of (when MH turned 40, but that is a whole other story).
Even though I am in a much better place emotionally, I haven't been nearly as hopeful with cycles as I used to be.
