Really DH...it won't kill you!

My husband never puts the dishes in the sink...NEVER!

He works nights so ever morning I wake up and there are the dirty dishes sitting on the counter...next to the sink.

with bit's of food now crusty on them.

Is this a big huge issue...not really.

Does it annoy the ever loving crap out of me because Oh my GOD the sink is RIGHT THERE! yes...yes it does. lol

hope you ladies have a great day!

  • We've been married for 3 years and my DH just started putting his dishes in the dishwasher.  I think I actually clapped for him the first time he did it.  Used to drive me freaking crazy too!

  • Tell him!  It may not change anything but at least you'll get it off your chest :)  DH does things like that that drive me crazy, too. But I always feel better when I say it to him. Nicely, of course Wink LOL

  • We've been married almost 5 years and H will put the dishes in the sink, but won't put any water in them.  It drives me crazy, but I've learned to pick my battles.

  • haha yeah I have told him..but nothing changes. I just tell myself he gets home and is soooo tired (he really does have a draining job) that he doesn't think of anything but eat, shower, sleep!

but on the flip side...he always scrbs the toilets down on the weekend so it balances out :)

  • I would say something. Guys don't think about things like that, they don't see dirt.  DH is usually pretty good about doing things when I ask but if I don't say anything, he doesn't even realize it.

DH does this too.  Or he'll leave them in the sink when clearly, the dishwasher is empty.

The other night I caught him in the act and literally did an "Ahh ahh ahhhh" to him, like I would do to DD if she were doing something wrong."

haha that's to funny. like I said I have mentiond it before but since he eats dinner at about 2:30 in the morning I am not a witness to it...maybe I should leave a note on the counter where he puts them that says in a nice way...put the dishes in the sink please! lol

  • Haha, I do the same. When the dishwasher is full and i don't have time to empty it I set the dishes net to the sink. I can't stand having them pile up in the sink. Then it is hard to wash your hands or to get a glass of water. But i do know this bugs my husband a bit. But i say if i am the one the does the majority of the dishes he can live with the way i do them.
  • Along the same lines, I put a huge piece of paper taped to the floor where my DH would drop laundry right.next.to the laundry basket. It said "Put the F****NG laundry in the basket" - it worked :)
