I remember pretending to nurse dolls when I was a kid. I don't think you need a special top to do it, but the toy companies need new ideas.

I'm confused. Breast feeding is not sexual in any way. How is this doll sexualizing young girls? FWIW, both the girls BF their dolls and the don't need $89 dolls to do it. I BF all three kids, but they got bottles from DH. The girls just know there are different ways to feed a baby and mimic both.

Then don't buy the doll.  How is the toy company parenting?

I just think it is dumb that there would be a special doll for the purpose.  Why can't a kid "breastfeed" a regular baby doll?

It seems like people need to stop thinking of breastfeeding as a sexual act since it's not. My dd probably would of loved this when dd2 came along esp since she never used a bottle. I wouldn't spend that much money on a babydoll though.
