DS has a small cold. Advice?

I took him to the doctor yesterday due to an unexplained crankyness and sleepless night.  His ears and chest were checked and, she said he was fine. 

Now he's super congested.  Had to give him some benedryl to help him sleep.

Anything else I can do?

He hasn't had a cold in almost 2 years.

I feel like DS has been sick with this since December. I use Baby Vicks vapor rub on his chest and Little Noses saline drops up his nose. We also use a humidifier every night. It's so frustrating when they're sick. Hope your LO feels better!!

We have finally found a routine that works great.

We start suctioning as SOON as she sneezes or starts having a runny nose. We use the little noses sucker and don't have to use the drops.. just the sucker does it and my DD has gotten great at doing this. It works great.

We also make sure to apply Vicks Baby rub to her chest and her feet-and put socks on them at night.. it's VERY odd- but some of the moms on here spoke about it alot when DD was a baby and I finally tried it..not sure why it works, but it helps to speed up the cold IMO.

Good luck! Stay on top of the runny nose and stuffyness w/ the suction and it will get better!
