After Henry was born I lost all my pregnancy weight AND an additional 25 pounds. I can't keep weight on. I'm still losing weight every month. I've gone from a size 10 pre-pregnancy to barely holding up my size 2's (same brand). I eat ice cream every day, snack constantly, and eat my full meals 3x a day also. I can not figure it out.
Anyone else have strange weight loss after their child was born? I'm wondering if I should talk to my doctor?
Re: PP weight question
Do you feel okay otherwise?
If you did anything different after, can you please tell me, so I make sure to do it this time.
are you tired often?
i'm thinking thyroid.
This. I haven't been able to lose weight. I'm also not as motivated as I should be and cave to my chocolate cravings very often, so I'm sure that's why.
I lost the 60 lovely lbs of "baby weight" that I gained, so I'm not really complaining but I could definitely stand to loose a good 30 after that. (Obviously not while pg.)
OP, I was thinking thyroid at first too. Hyperthyroid can result in rapid weightloss, rapid heartrate, things like that. I would have your hormones checked.
There are other reasons for rapid weight loss as well besides issues with the thyroid. As other posters have asked, how are you feeling? Anything different? How is your sleeping, appetite, energy level? I will say there is sucha thing as PP thyroid disease. here is the link:

I never heard of it before until I google for causes of rapid weight loss pp.
Ugh! Thanks everyone. It's so hard to give a good reading of my energy/fatigue levels since Henry didn't start sleeping through the night until last month! He was getting up every 2-3 hours every night so I was just always tired! Haha! My appetite has been okay- a lot of times I forget to eat, but I make myself eat at regular intervals now. I'm due for some routine blood work anyway (doctor ordered it MONTHS ago and I just never got around to it! Haha!)- so I think I'll just call the doctor to get an appointment.
Thanks
I was thinking tyroid too. I would get checked if I were you.
I have a hyper thyroid problem from Graves disease which is common. The weight is just falling off of me & I'm actually post RAI. But it was done recently so I'm hoping it'll stop soon.
No you wouldn't. Not if it's a thyroid problem. I went to the ER thinking I had a heart attack when it was just palipitations a week ago.
