I know it's been asked before, but it's my turn to ask; what does your toddler sleep in. Mikey sleeps in an inherited sleep sack and I only just noticed it's sized for up to 18 months - he's 20 months and big.
He doesn't look too big for it, but I guess I should start eyeing other sleep sacks. Or is he ready for an actual blanket? If your kid sleeps with a blanket how do they keep it on them? Don't they toss and turn?

Charlie sleeps in fleece footie pajama and loves them. Maybe that's something to try, since they're a little better for moving around in.
He also has a big fleece blanket that he can't sleep without. Gets downright mad and stomps his little feet when I don't give it to him. He's had blankets since birth and can't sleep without them.
But I do still use the motion detector monitor on him... just in case he gets in trouble with the blankey. Most of the time he's fine, but once in a while he gets a little wrapped up in it and will wake up and cry. He also cries if he gets out and gets cold.

IDK, I think I might get a blankie to try it out but also get some of those sleep sacks with the holes in that Kathi suggested.
In the meantime., time to put my kid in his too-small sleep sack.

Footsie pj's. Her room is a pretty comfortable temperature.
Fleece footy pj's and an aden and anais double ply muslin blanket (best blankets ever, we have 4 ply, 2 ply, and single) When it gets warmer we will switch to a single ply and cotton pj's. It is always cool at night so he will wear long pj's even in summer as he doesn't actually stay covered.
We moved out of the sleep sack when Finn started standing and walking.
Noah moved into a big boy racecar bed and now wears normal fitted cotton pj's and sleeps under like 3 blankets.
We got rid of the sleep sacks a long time ago. Adrian outgrew them and he also tripped over himself a lot when he was standing up in his crib. He's just too big and active to be in a sack anymore so we just use blankets, the regular fluffy baby-sized kind, not crotcheted or anything. Honestly, he's so strong that he can push that blanket away no problem. And it's small enough not to get tangled up in it.
I dress him in a white short-sleeve onesie and either cotton footed PJs or two-pieces (and socks) in the summer or fleece footed PJs in the winter. Plus the blanket. And we keep our house warm at night, so LO is pretty cozy in his crib. If he's cold he wakes up so I try to avoid that.
