What the hell is a lovey?

Is it some sort of Canadian pacifer? Blanket? Teddy Bear? Anyone?

Haha! A lovey is any sort of soft toy you give LO as a soother. It's often some sort of stuffed animal, blanket, etc.

And why am I back to being black and pregnant? I just changed it.

Thank you - but see you throw me off by saying soother, because I believe that is also a paci/binky? And I thought we were keeping all deadly stuffed toys out of cribs, no changing the rules on me.

Haha, well LO doesn't have a lovey so I don't really know "the rules." But usually a lovey is a non-paci type soft object that LO can cuddle.

C has a little dog/blanket that he holds in the crook of his elbow when he sleeps. I started giving it to him a couple of weeks before I went back to work so that he would have less trouble falling asleep with all the commotion.
