Can anyone rec a humidifier?

I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping, lately, because I keep waking up with a dry throat and mouth (and too warm, but that's a different issue).  I've recently started sleeping on the couch, which helps, so it must be our bedroom especially.  Hubs hasn't noticed, so it's likely a pregnancy thing.  I'd like to look into getting a humidifier than I can use now and might end up putting in the nursery, if baby needs it.  I prefer something not too cutesy or baby-ish.  Any recs?

Thanks!

Ha, I think we have the same one!

  • We have the penguin one, from Crane. Love it, it's cool air which is nice. We also have a vicks warm air one.

  • I'm not really sure where you are located, but the Walgreens in Lake Stevens has 4 or 5 humidifiers (cool mist one's too) in the $15-$20 range ( they are 50-75% off). They are on an end cap with other clearance stuff.

  • I've had the same issue this pregnancy.  Sleeping sitting up, though not the most comfortable, helps a little.  A humidifier is a great idea too!

  • We have 2, a cool mist and a warm mist.  The cool mist does not have a place for Vicks it is just mist.  I like it but not as much as our warm mist.  It makes the babies room nice and comfy and they tend to settle down to sleep when all stuffed up. If you don't want any more heat get the cool mist and the crane ones are awesome.

  • Thanks, ladies!  I've been reading the reviews on Amazon and was kind of liking a Crane one (drop design), so that's cool.  And then one reviewer actually pointed out a Walgreens one that she preferred (and it also got good reviews).  So, I was looking at both.  Seems like a leak problem is pretty universal, no matter the humidifier.  Hopefully, we can avoid that.

  • We have this one, it's expensive, but works great and has so many options. Since they need cleaning so often, this allows you to be a little lazy. ;)

  • I have the crane cool mist humidifier, and I love it.  It's actually a penguin so baby friendly.  i like that it has low to high so i can change the levels but it's great.  Helps me sleep at night and it's been amazing when i've been sick.  good luck to you!
