For those who are or have potty trained?

How do you choose a potty?  There are so many to choose from and I don't want to spend a lot of $$$.  Any recommendations?

Thanks!

  • We bought one for $23+tax from WalMart. It has a censor in the bottom that it plays music each time he does his business.

  • We haven't yet, but I've heard most kids prefer the kind that actually go on the toilet.

  • I have a Bjorn one. It's simple, has no bells or whistles. I wanted to make sure I had one that had a removable insert for easy cleaning. When DS was just starting, we had it where he was so he could be reminded. Eventually, he changed over to the toilet insert and now he just uses the toilet without anything.

  • We have the bjorn potty. Simple and easy to clean. We also have the seat that goes on top of the potty. She prefers one over the other on varying days. We keep the bjorn in the part of the house furthest from the bathroom. She will go sit on it when she needs to go now.
