if you heard of a tutu birthday party, would you think of dance (ballet, etc)?

 i read about this 2 year bithday party, called a "tutus and ties" party, where all the girls wear tutus and the boys wear ties. i mentioned it to my mom, and she automatically assumed it was a ballet or dance related party. i thought about keeping it in the back of my mind for DDs party because i liked the play on words with the tutu (2two) party/age, but dont want a dance party (Would like to save that for when she is older). WDYT?

I think that is a cute idea! It doesn't have to be a "dance party" per se, but I'm sure if there is kid music playing and they so happen to bop around, it's not like they would be fist pumping and grinding lol

i think it's a cute idea, but some parents may not want to either go through the trouble or have to buy a tie ( i don't have one). I would however do a tutu or princess party for just girls after age 3

i was going to make ties and have tutus in the party colors for everyone

I would just think of it as more of a dress up type party. Now adays, there is so much out there with tutus I don't think many people with LOs would think dance.

If you are supplying the playwear, I would note that on the invites.

My niece had a ballerina party a few years ago.  She dressed up and there were themed food and games, but not a "dance" party.  No one expects a two year old to know ballet.
