Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

just viewed daycare

I posted earlier that I was worried about DS going to daycare tomorrow for his first time. We just went up to the daycare to check it out & to see where I will be dropping him off in the morning. He took to it right away! He loved it! The ladies were really surprised that he was playing with toys and wasn't clinging to us.

I'm not so worried anymore :)

Re: just viewed daycare

  • Good luck. I work part time now but I have always had my DD in daycare. It is hard but I think it is good for her to get out of my wings a a little. She LOVES all the kids and the provider that runs it is fantastic. It's ok if you cry... I think we all did! :)

  • My LO like to visit his daycare before he started. So it's not an indication they won't cry when you drop them off. LO is fine playing anywhere if he knows I'm around somewhere near, but when he knows I'm dropping him off for the day, he gets upset. Lately he's been better and he's getting used to it (he started in January and only goes 2 days) but it's rare for a child to be happy when you drop him/her off. Just warning you b/c most likely there will be waterworks. It gets better though, and you just have to say goodbye and exit quickly, don't linger b/c it makes it worse.
Me: 44 DH: 42. DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09. TTC since then with no luck or ART. Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.
  • I will be doing this for the first time ever in a few weeks and I am pretty certain that DS will do the same thing. He loves new environments.
