Thoughts on Daisy for a girl's name? My 10 year old niece suggested it and at first I wasn't wowed but now I keep thinking about it and I think it's kind of sweet. But will her name seem odd when she's an adult?
Im with you, very cute.. but then when she is an adult.. unless she picks up her middle name like Daisy Mae kinda sounds really hick when you think about it that way tho...
I have a college friend who just had her 3rd baby saturday. her name is Daisy May. But...her and her husband are redneck i like it (for them). and she will be blonde and adorable!!

I like some of the cute old fashined names, such as Molly, Daisy, Lucy, etc. I think they may be in their "prime" on the younger crowd, but I can still imagine a professional with one of these names.
I think you do have to be careful with what you pair it with as a middle name, though. If you are worried about a name sounding a certain way (too young, too country, whatever), use something a bit stately as a middle name (that still flows of course!) to offset it a bit.
Reminds me of Gatsby too, or Daisy Fitzgerald. I love it!
This (and Daisy Miller). And with the upcoming remake with Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan as Daisy I would expect a resurgence of the name. It's one of my faves. I wish I could use it, but it doesn't work with our last name.
I have a friend that named her daughter Daisy. I also have another friend who named her daughter Dixie...but I live in the South. I'm not a huge fan of the name.

I don't take one single minute for granted.
My almost 3 yr old DD is Daisy Camille. It is not a name that everyone will like but I have not gotten even one negative opinion on it. We figure if it is ever to cutesy for her as she ages she can take her middle name which I think is very adult:).
Re: Daisy?
Growing Up Olson
I like it, but I'm LOL'ing b/c your SN is MinnieM.
If your name is Minnie I might consider vetoing Daisy.

Daisy Fuentes?
Ha, no! My real name is quite traditional.
I agree with this

I've liked it for a while but not sure I'd ever really use it since it does seem a bit young.
