Cincinnati Babies

Never thought I'd make it to single digits!

Just saw my ticker, and 9 days to go! Surprise

Wow, I am so happy that I've made it this far in my PG. I honestly thought I would deliver early again, but I am so glad that HELLP has stayed away, and this PG has been completely different than DD's. I am praying for a safe, healthy baby and delivery all around.

I am just hoping to make it to Friday - yes, April Fool's Day and the first day of my spring break/maternity leave for the rest of the school year. DD's bday is Thursday, and I really don't want them to have the same bday!  Of course, if it happens, it happens.

I have my 39 wk. appt. Friday AM to check if any progress has been made. Last week I was still 2cm and maybe 50% effaced. Baby girl has dropped considerably doc said, so that is a good sign. He won't induce since I'm trying for a VBAC, and he'll let me go overdue if necessary. I would love to be waiting around for her to arrive! lol Stick out tongue I'll keep you ladies posted.

Thanks for letting me ramble!

  • YAY!  My brothers are 3 years and a day apart.  On his 3rd bday, my brother told my mom, "You better not have that baby today!"  Jason was born the next day.  Smile  Good luck and enjoy the remainder of your pregnancy....and DD's bday!

  • That's great!

I know you feel in thinking that it would be the same this time around.  I had labor stopped and was put on bedrest at 35 weeks with Ava, and thought I would have bedrest to deal with in every pregnancy, but it was never an issue with #2 and 3.  In fact, each one has cooked longer than the last.  Charlotte was born at 39 weeks and Lila was born at 39 weeks 5 days!  Each pregnancy has been so different, and I think it's indicative of how each child is so different.  It's fun and amazing to see the differences in each pregnancy/child!

Thoughts & prayers over the next week (or two) for you!  I can't wait to hear about your new baby girl's arrival!

  • Yay!! Great news-- I definitely can relate to how you feel, its hard not to assume each pregnancy will have the same pitfalls. T&P heading your way that the baby keeps cookin and that you are able to have a successful VBAC!

  • That is SO awesome! Ash and Austin were due 2 days apart and I also didn't want them to share a birthday. It worked out for us, so hopefully will for you too!
  • Good luck, I'll be thinking of you.
