Yes. Mostly at doctors appointments. Poor thing always getting stuck with needles, I dont see the harm in it. They are the small ones like dum dums. She had them starting around 10 months
DS has had them. He's 21 months and I think we started giving them to him a month or two ago.
He's a third child and he only gets them when our older kids get them. The temper tantrum he throws if we don't give it to him is not worth it. A little sugar isn't going to kill him. We generally give him Dum Dums, occasionally a tootsie pop. I take it away when he gets to the tootsie pop part.
Our oldest didn't get them until she was at least 3.
Yes, she had one a couple months ago and I was surprised at how well she did with it. She licked it until it was completely gone and didn't even try to lay it down anywhere..I was shocked. but, she hasn't had one since
DD has had two so far and didn't get her first until a few weeks ago. Both times she's gotten them from the checkout clerk at the grocery store. I take it away from her when we get to the car and then give it back when we're home. I closely supervised both times b/c she likes to bite them and then I don't like the sticky mess. While I don't want her to get a lot of candy, I don't see the harm in getting it on occasion. Both times it has been the little dum dums.
Yup- we started giving them to him around 15 months during haircuts, worked wonders for getting him to sit still. He also gets them when flying during take off and landing.
Our ped gave him on at the 9 month appointment and he loved them at halloween it was the only things in his treatbag I let him have. We also gave him some on a trip last weekend he was really fussy in the car and he is good with them so I wasn't worried about it. He has a whole bag at home that DH got him over a month ago that we have not opened they are still a treat.

No lollipops yet but he loves chocolate chip cookies and a bite or two of mommy's icecream sandwich;) Maybe I'll do a lollipop this summer some time (17/18 months old).

Not yet. Our doctor's office gives out dum dums, but they've never offered DS one and I wouldn't let him have it anyway. That particular brand comes off the stick really easily for some reason, so I'd be afraid of him choking on it. If it were a different brand, I'd probably let him take a few licks.
Just be aware that they can be extremely dangerous for toddlers. A coworker's baby almost died when he swallowed a lollipop and got it lodged in his throat. They had to puncture a hole in his throat to help him breathe.

This! We haven't given him any candy, but he has had some frozen yogurt AND icecream. He only takes a few licks, then he's done.
