If I remember correctly, when my DD was 9 months, she was down to 4 times/day and almost never at night. I think that's right because at 10 months we switched to formula and she had 4 sippies/day. ?
We weaned DD from night feedings at 9mos and then between 9 & 10mos she dropped a feeding (her choice). So that was 5 day feedings at 9mos and 4 day feedings at 10mos
Re: How many x's per day does your 9-10 m old bf?

It was 6am, 9am, noon, 3pm, 5:30pm, 8:30pm, midnight, and 3am usually. So 8x in 24 hours. That was her schedule up until 12 months.
At 12 months we eliminated the 9am and 3pm because DD was at daycare and getting a snack at those times instead. We just went with the flow on that.
Around 18 months I stopped going to daycare to nurse her on my lunch hour, so we were at 6am, 5:30pm, 8:30pm, and 1-2x at night.
At 25 or 26 months I night weaned, and now we're at 6am, 5:30pm, and 8:30pm.
So that's way more than you wanted to know, but hopefully it will be helpful.
