Plumpton Park Zoo

Has anyone been to the Plumpton Park Zoo in Rising Sun, MD recently? I've just been checking out their website and it looks they have opened back up. I just want to see if it was worth the drive up to Rising Sun. I'm looking for some activities for Annabelle this upcoming month.

DD's preschool is going next month for a field trip. The flyer they sent home said it's under new ownership. We've never been, but I'll let you know how it goes.

We have been several times, and it is nice for the little ones.  Not large or overwhelming like the Baltimore Zoo, and not crowded so they can run around on their own without you worrying.  They have basic animals, petting stations, and peacocks and cats roaming around.  A little playground and picnic area.  I reallly enjoyed taking my kids there.

We decided to check out PPZ yesterday. We were really surprised at how small they were, but we really had a great time. Annabelle loved all the animals and she got to walk around too. Definitely worth the trip up to Cecil County. Definitely will be going back.

I'm glad to hear you had a good experience!  We went before they closed down, and it was really run down and sad looking.  I'm hoping to go back this summer, and am looking forward to the changes the new owners have made.
