DD is not wanting to sleep in her crib at night. She has been screaming and wants out of her crib. than she'll go and lay on the couch. Is it time for us to change the crib into a toddler bed?
What tips and trick can you share.

We went through this for weeks between 16-17mo. Switching the bed solved the problem but she does wander out of bed still from time to time to try to sleep with us. We just walk her back in without saying a word and tuck her back in.
It's worth a shot IMO

We switched Cedric to his toddler bed and he does real well. I went and took all his toys out of his room (or in the closet) so he didn't get up to play. I did leave his books and stuffed animals for him. I don't mind if he gets thoughs out, and it is nice to have something there for when he wakes up. I also made a tiny nightstand for his bed and leave a sippy cup for him (on days that I would like a little more sleep!). Also some of his soft books on the nightstand so he doesn't have to get out of bed to get any. These he usually plays with before bed.
He doesn't normally get out of bed, so far. Does real well sleeping all night. Good luck!
