When did things start vanishing from your registry... I'm registry stalking (I know I'm awful) and nothing has gone off it yet... I'm starting to worry that no one is even coming to the shower!
My shower is this coming weekend. Invites were sent out 3 wks ago. The first item was gone only a few days after invites. The other things started disappearing last week but there is only 13 things off from the 40 I registered for so far, and many of those things are little $5 things. Not sure if people are waiting until the last minute or if they are buying other items not on my registry.
I haven't had mine yet, but around here...no one seems to shop for anything until a couple of days before the shower. Usually, the day before, everything starts disappearing.
I had a couple things disappear early, but nothing else until literally days before the shower. I received lots of things off the registry that were still there even on the Friday night beforehand. People definitely wait until the last minute.

Mine was a Sunday morning. I think EVERYONE shopped Saturday. :-) I was pleasantly surprised. I would suggest to stop stalking a day or two before, b/c I was literally thrilled and surprised to see some items even though they were off my registry (and therefore, I chose them!). :-)

I registered a while ago and the invitations for my shower will go out next week. A few things have gone off but that's only becasue I have overly excited family (they are the only one's that even know I already registered). I try so hard not to stalk, it will be more fun if you don't... so stop peeking!

Don't feel too bad, I do the same thing!!! Mine isn't for another 2 weeks but within the first few days after the invites went out about 5 things came off, and then 3 more over the next 2 weeks and nothing for at least a week now! I was starting to worry that only a few people were going to come but it seems like people probably just shop at the last minute. Why not, I probably would too...
My shower is Saturday and I just noticed 2 things were purchased yesterday. It's frustrating, since one registry is Amazon and the other is Target, and a lot of my Target stuff is only available online. Pretty soon it will be too late for people to order things from online. I'm anticipating a lot of Target gift cards...
A lot of people did not buy from my registry, but a few things were bought 1-2 weeks out. I am attending a shower for a friend this Sunday and nothing has been bought off her registry yet. Of course, I did receive a couple things off my registry that weren't marked as purchased.
I am glad you posted this because I was also getting worried. My shower is not for another month but only two items were purchased from my registry so far. I felt like for my bridal shower things were purchased asap.
omg how funny, I've been stalking my registry everyday since I've sent out the invitations and 11 things have been bought but like 6 things have been bought from people that will not be able to go so I wonder when those who will attend (28ppl) will start buying things, my babyshower is this saturday...I cannot wait!!

This is the same for me. I have two showers this month - one a week from Saturday and another one two weeks after that. Invitations are out for both but hardly anything has been purchased from my Target registry (and nothing has been purchased from the BRU registry). Yesterday, I shopped for a friend's baby shower that is this weekend and virtually no items have been bought off of her registry. This made me wonder if people are just ignoring the registries all together anymore??

Mine's not until next month, but I'm a notorious last-minute shower shopper!
The last baby shower I went to, I got the gifts the day before and there was still TONS of stuff on the registry, but people must have shopped like crazy Saturday night and Sunday morning before brunch because her registry was cleaned out by the time the shower started.
So funny that you posted this. I was just registry stalking my own registry before I logged on the bump and was thinking the same thing. I know I still have a few weeks left until my shower but it seems like a few people purchased things right when they received the invite and the rest will probably wait until the last minute. I need to stop stalking!
Gee, this makes me feel somewhat better as I haven't registered yet and the shower is April 10th. DH wants just the right stuff and I just want to get it done. I read registries like getting vouchers for stuff. It's a bonus if it is the right thing but never having done this before, who knows.
I have a feeling most of the people at my shower will just go buy gifts and not even look at the registry. I'm hoping we do get the basic things we need off of our registry though! I mainly just put stuff that we really need on there. It is at target and alot of the stuff is online only....so i'm kinda doubting we will be getting it.
My shower was on Sunday and I got nothing off my registry from the people there (all family). I got gift cards and clothes- but that is ok as I think everyone knew we have limited space in our car to drive everything 1600 miles back home. I have some friends who purchased items from my registry and had them shipped home for me.

My shower is april 30 and I have been stalking my registry since we made them. I have 3 (BRU, Target and a combined one of amazon). So far, only about 30 things have been bought and my mom tells me that almost no one has rsvp'd yet to my shower - even family.
a few here and there but the bulk of ti was the day of. Then again probably half of them bought stuff and never got it scanned off the registry.....I just recently went and deleted the stuff.
Re: For those of you who have had your shower...
A week before, and most things were just the day or two before! Guess our friends are last minute shoppers!
I definitely did this too and was worried about the same thing.
Only four or five things were bought off of our reigstries--most people bought clothes (we're Team Green) or cash/gift cards.
