What do you do when you are out and about? Wondering what you do when you only have public toilets around. We haven't started potty training yet but I am thinking about this and the public toilet business grosses me out.
We just made sure to wash hands. I didn't even *gasp* use seat covers- nor do we ever use them. I mean, if I see a bit of wet on the seat I wipe it off with a wad of TP. Other than that....hand washing is all you need!
There's also this, which takes care of 2 problems: dirty toilet seats and kids being afraid of the big potty. DD isn't potty trained yet, but I am cosnidering getting one. I was going to wait and see how she did with big pottys first.

We also have the potette travel potty but it dose not seem to work well for my son (he would just pee over the top) so I would just hold him but just this week he started being able to sit alone Yippy .
PT is so much fun it's a little scary to start but once you do you would be so glad

This. Obviously, DS isn't potty trained, but my girls are.

I looked at that too.
Another trick if your LO is afraid of the automatic flusher is to stick a post-it note over the sensor until LO is big enough to cover it.
