Just thinking...does it matter what brand of wipes to use on a newborn baby?I got some from B.J.s but they arent name brand.Does it matter?I did get name brand pampers though.Sorry if it seems like a dumb question
I got berkley &jensen. It says ultra soft cloths and hypoallergenic-alcohol free.I guess I can only try and see how it works. It was like $7.00 or so for 792 wipes
You'll find out which ones you like the best. My favorites are Huggies Naturals, though the Target brand are also decent (they are much stretchier). I tried the Kroger ones with DS, they smelled horrid so I never bought them again.
FWIW some babies have very sensitive skin so you may need to look for fragrance free ones if your LO gets a rash from the wipes.
I would only stock up on sensitive ones for now unti you figure out what works for you and LO. I've already gone through a ton and like Huggies Natural Care the best. We've tried Pampers sensitive (good, also), WalMart Paren'ts Choice (NOOO), Huggies Soft and Clean (good and very thick). The Target ones are good too. You go through a ton, it's amazing.

Oh ok thank! I wish I would've asked this question long before I bought 792 wipes.lol B.J.s isnt that clothes by me...so I wont be returning the ones I have now.Do you know how fast a newborn can run through about 126 pampers?I got a case of newborn and size one.Im thinking I should've got two cases of newborn.
I use their tampons for myself, and I also bought their maternity pads for afterwards - we will be using cloth wipes, but I knew that I would want some for early on, and then to have around just in case
I bought BabyGanics and Pampers Sensitive. When a PP posted that website about checking products for safety (like fragrance and chemicals) I went there and checked wipes. Pampers Sensitive was rated very high.
Um don't worry about your wipes, I have bought around 3,000 so far. I'm a stock up kinda girl.

about 10-12 dipes a day, sometimes 2 per change if you have boy and he pees everywhere!

I have had many people tell me Huggies wipes are great, you only need to use one as opposed to other brands where you need a few to get LO's behind clean. But I have been hearing that Pampers sensitive wipes are amazing for newborns. And DH and I received our Costco coupons, and there were ones for diapers AND wipes, so we stocked up. I guess it's going to be like diapers and bottles... just have to wait and see which ones the LO will prefer!
I use wash cloths, and for her diaper bag I bought Huggies brand. Both my older girls had reactions to every brand but Huggies so I just went with what I was comfortable with.
As for how many diapers, that depends on your baby. Olivia poops ALOT, it amazes me that we went through 3 packs of Huggies NB diapers in 10 days.
We have cloth diapers but they are far too big right now. If I could make them fit I would just be using those instead of disposables.
I say don't buy a ton of any one kind - try out a bunch because you WILL develop a preference. I like the Pampers ones ok, DETEST the Up&Up Target brand, am meh about Huggies but love the Costco Kirkland ones.
FWIW, I work at a daycare and I think the Kirkland brand (I'm not sure what big store they're from but I know it's one of those club stores, Sams, Costco or BJ's) are fabulous. So many of my parents use them and parents that ask me for suggestions, thats what I recommend. I have bought 3 big boxes of Pampers (2 sensitive, 1 think) because they are equally as good (but expensive) because I get them on sale/with a coupon. I love being stocked up on things and I'm very content with my diaper & wipes stock pile.

I wouldn't buy too many until you know what you and LO like. Then stock up because you will go through a lot!

We have these as well.
I'm a big nerd, and worry about her little skin too much - I ordered these from Natracare from Amazon -
