Ok, so when this happens, normally it's just a small amount and usually darker than normal AF blood, correct? I ask because I got AF on Saturday, a lot of blood (TMI, sorry) and then I was bleeding yesterday, but not a ton and now, I am not even bleeding. This is my first period since being off BCP, so could that be the reason for the short period and my body is still just getting regulated? Last time I went off BCP I basically just went back to a normal 28 day cycle and nothing really changed so I am just curious of any ideas you might have. TIA!
Re: Implantation bleeding
Its so hard to say... my last AF was like that but have only had 3 PP AFs cause of BFing and they have been a bit wonky. I never had implantation bleeding. From what I have read... its only usually a small amount. But there are ladies who have whats seems to be a period and later find they are pregnant... its rare but does happen.
Are you trying? Charting? The only real way to know is to test... do you know when you ovulated?
Yes, we are trying and I am keeping track of ovulation, and I was 4 days late this month so I tested last week and it was negative.
Any PG symptoms? If not, you might just be having a funky cycle this round... maybe test again to be sure or get blood work done if you need more confirmation?
I will just test in the morning..can't hurt to be sure! Thanks!
i had implantation bleeding with this one. since weaning P it was VERY heavy every cycle and then this was very different, this was very light (and brownish/pink in color) for a day and 1/2, gone for a day and then back for a day (light but red in color). sorry if TMI.
and i should add that i tested in the middle of it but it was neg. so i assumed it was AF and didn't test again until 4 weeks later when i felt pukey.
fingers crossed for you!
Not TMI at all! Thanks for your input!!
I had weird cycles coming off of BCP, both in terms of bleeding and cycle length as well.
If what you experienced was implantation bleeding and it started on Saturday, I would assume by tomorrow morning you would be able to test with FMU and have an accurate result. The HCG should be built up in your system 3 days post implantation to give you a positive result if you are indeed PG.
GL!
