? about transition to whole milk

I started mixing DS bottles with half BM and half whole milk last week, but he's had diarrhea since then. I'm almost out of my frozen stash of BM and am worried about switching him 100 percent. Is this normal or could it mean he's allergic? TIA

DS had diarrhea for a few days after the switch. I talked to our pedi and he told us that if it last longer than a week then to schedule a visit.

That's interesting b/c I've often read the opposite - that it causes constipation.  But it appears that it can contribute -

Side note, my dh's little brother didn't do well on cow's milk so my MIL gave hil goat's milk instead, much easier to digest.  Just something to keep in the back of your mind in case...  Good luck!

Lactose intolerance causes loose stool. See your doc, (s)he may recommend switching to soy milk.
