Hey ladies,

 I was just going to let you know about a prenatal wellness program that BCBS of AL offers to all of their customers. Our plan didn't give any information on the program and I just stumbled across it one day at work.

Anyway, for those that don't know about it - they assign an RN to you when you enroll. Once you're enrolled, they send some goodies and the RN keeps track of your pregnancy. They call from time to time to check on you and you can call or email with any questions you have if you don't feel like calling your doctor's office. Just a good free program for any one with BCBS of AL. You can go to www.behealthy.com to enroll. I think there's an 800 number on the website that you can call to enroll as well.

I just signed up.  I knew that BCBS had the Baby Yourself program from looking in my benefits book a few months ago, but I had forgotten about it.  Thanks for the heads up!!!

I had BCBS with my 1st pregnancy {now grant it, that was 2008-2009}, but back then they sent me a Week-by-Week Pregnancy book AND at the end of program completion I received a $50 Target giftcard in the mail!

Also, I had a couple of issues pop up during my 1st pregnancy and it was really nice to have the RN call and have that 2nd opinion or someone to ask other questions you might have forgotten at your OB visit.

I was sad that I didn't find out about this until I was something like 36 weeks pregnant, but I signed up anyway and still got goodies and a very nice call from the nurse. Don't know if I'll get anything else after Noah's born ... not really holding my breath for a Target gift card, but that would be really amazing!

I used it too and was very happy with it. I got a water jug, a hooded towel for Preston and a very interesting pregnancy book...I also ended up calling my nurse a few times...it was great!

I used this too It was nice to have the nurse's number 'just in case' when my OB's office was closed. I got the same things as Ashley-After I had Owen, they sent him a hooded towel.

I have it too. I absolutely love my nurse. She calls me to check up and see how things are going.I like knowing that I can call her if I dont want to call my doctors office!

Hey Ladies,

I am enrolled in the baby yourself program as well, and another incentive my job offers is to wave my in-patient admisson fee (by being enrolled in the program) along with all of the  other perks and goodies!! It's a great program!

I was enrolled in Baby Yourself while pregnant with Sarah and was transferred to a high-risk nurse after my water broke.  She called me every.single.day that I was in the hospital and continued to call while Sarah was in the NICU to check up on her.  I still email with her and the BCBS nurse who followed Sarah's case in the NICU. :-)

My RN just called me for the first time yesterday!  They sent out all of my goodies yesterday.
