Whose watching your kids?

I have a friend who is going to watch my DD tomorrow while im at work. This is the first person to watch her that wasn?t family.

Question-Do i need to write some sort of letter stating that its okay for her to make "decisions" in my behalf, until i get to the situation?

I trust her 100% with my child, but you know.. things happen.. But im just not sure what the letter should say. Help please?

I think you are ok. I did this when me and DH went to Cali for a friend last year (but we were gone 3 1/2 days)

i actually did that when my parents watched her for a whole week when she turned 1 year old.  I just wrote saying that I give permission to "name" to make decsions while i'm away and I dated and signed it.  I also let my peditrian know.  But when I mentioned to the Pedi he said it didn't matter. If someone comes in with a baby the will not refuse anyone anyway.

No, I don't think you need a letter.  Just leave your emergency contact info and you should be just fine.

DS spends quite a few long weekends with my famliy 3 hours away.  My parents have a copy of DS's insurance card and a letter giving them permission to act on our behalf.  Do a google search for "caregiver consent form" and you should find a word doc or other form to download.

My friend asked me to leave her written details the day she filled into our sitter. Her baby is 6 months younger so she didn't know the details of my 13 month old when it came to feedings and stuff.
