New due date?

So after some spotting and a trip to the ED for a cervix check and u/s I found out that baby is measuring 17 weeks in size and I have a new earlier due date of 9/4. So what have others done, go by the new due date or stick with the original?

I also have two different due dates, and am just going with something in between. Since it's only my expected, and I'm not planning on being induced, I realize that the baby can come any time shortly before or after the dates I've been quoted. When someone asks, I just tell them "somewhere around Sept 22 or Sept 29".

That's interesting that they gave you a new due date.  My baby is measuring a week ahead and both the u/s tech and my doctor said they do not change the original due date.  So, for me, I stick to my original due date, knowing that the baby could come a week earlier.

i go with whatever the doctor tells me lol. mine has changed 3 times so far so hopefully i/they can keep track of the "official" one.

My original due date based on my LMP was 8/15. had an early ultrasound (at 10 weeks) for cramping and they said baby was measuring a week ahead and my due date was 8/7. but the dr. said she wouldnt officially change it until my anatomy scan. Had anatomy scan at (18 weeks) and the tech said my due date was 8/6 based on her measurements. Went to the drs on friday and i asked what the new date was and they told me 8/8 based on the earliest ultrasound. so who the hell knows! as long as i deliver prior to 8/15 i'll be happy!

I do the same, I have my countdown on this website with the earlier due date, just cause I like that the countdown is smaller

I tell people I am due between Aug 17th & 20th.

I've had 3 different due dates...6/28, 7/1 and 7/4.  I go by the middle one, lol.  My doc is also using 7/1 because it was the original date based on my LMP, and the other 2 estimates circle around it anyway.

Did you actually get a new due date or just were told your baby is measuring bigger/ahead?

Also, a "dating ultrasound" is much less accurate not that you're in your second trimester, so I'd go with your original date.

It doesn't totally matter, unless you have something like diabetes where you shouldn't medically go past 38 weeks. Otherwise, it just might change whether you think you deliver "early" or "late".

See Tickers.  I tell people baby is due end of July,first of August.  I don't think I'll go past August 2nd,but who knows.
