Light Sleeper at Nap time issues...

DD has become a VERY light sleeper at naps! One little "ruff" from the dog, or the neighbor closing a car door or me getting something out of the linen closet outside her bedroom wakes her up. It's turning into a HUGE problem, where LO is only getting 30-45min naps a day! And I don't know what to do about it. When she sleeps I have to be able to get things done around the house, but I'm afraid to do anything for fear it will wake her up. Any advice?

  • Also we worked really hard for her to put herself to sleep and not have any sleep props such as white noise machines. But if I have to I'll try it...

  • I would definitely try a fan or something with a little bit of noise. We have always had a fan in DD's room. It kind of kills two birds with one stone. She gets a little bit of the noise and it keeps the air from getting stale in her room. GL

  • I agree a noise machine or fan. Something to block out other noises around the house and outside. It might take a little getting use to but it has really worked awesome for us :)
