DH thinks I need a job to "help keep me busy" and keep my mind off my health problems. I absolutely don't want to work full time outside the home. I love being home with Curly. I wouldn't mind earning a little extra income, but I don't know how to do it. I'm not creative enough to sell anything on Etsy. I'm not at all a saleswoman, so I know I would crash and burn at Avon or Pampered Chef. I tried learning medical transcription, but it bored me out of my mind and I totally failed the final. I tried to sign up to be an online tutor, but I'm not skilled in the really advanced stuff they need, so I was put on their waiting list. And I HATE talking on the phone, so I know phone sales wouldn't work for me either.
What else can I do?
I'm XP'ing this on the SAHM board too. Thanks!!
Re: What can I do with myself?

What about working a few nights at a place like babies r us or something? Given, you'd probably spend your whole paycheck on cute baby clothes, but at least you'd be getting a discount!
I have no suggestions because you sound like just me. I work, but it is out of our home and just adds stress instead of taking my mind off of other things. I know I NEED to get out and meet people, but it's easier said than done.
I am right there with you, lady.
Go Phils!!
LOL, thanks! It was the only picture that actually turned out this month!
And yes, I already crochet and do some other crafty-stuff, but it's not good enough to sell, and if I'm just doing it for the pleasure of doing it, I'd be spending lots of money!!
How about minding another child a few days a week since that would let you still be with DS too?
Otherwise, maybe a few shifts in retail, Starbucks, a mindless sort of job that would bring in some extra cash.
If you dont want to work, and nothing appeals to you.. then dont work.
Dog Walking just poped in my head though..
